Refurbished Workstations and Servers

The one constant in the small business information technology world is CHANGE.  It seems there's always something new -- faster, smarter, more efficient, more cost-effective.  Often, the installation of a new system for a client leaves behind a perfectly good piece of equipment that, with a little attention, can provide an excellent resource for someone who doesn't always need to be on the cutting edge of IT technology. 

When a system has been refurbished by Annexus, you can be assured that it is ready for you to install and use:

1. First, the entire system is completely disassembled.
2. The interior is cleaned and fans are checked for bearing wear, replaced as necessary.
3. The exterior is cleaned and sanitized.  Missing screws are replaced.
4. The power supply is opened, cleaned and tested for voltages within specification.
5. Hard disk drives are fully formatted and stress-tested.  Faulty drives are replaced.
6. Floppy drives are opened and cleaned,  read/write heads are cleaned and tested.
7. CD/DVD drives are cleaned and tested.
8. All cards are cleaned, chips are reseated and connectors checked for damaged pins.
9. CPUs are removed, heat sinks are cleaned, fans are tested and replaced as needed.
10. CPU sockets are inspected for proper retention.
11. System RAM is removed, sockets are checked for damaged pins and proper retention.
12. BIOS chips are reseated and updated to the latest manufacturer versions.
13. Mainboards are cleaned and physically inspected for damage.
14. CMOS batteries are removed, cleaned, tested for voltage and replaced as needed.
15. All add-on cards are cleaned, inspected and replaced as needed.
16. The system is reassembled and the BIOS is configured for optimal performance.
17. Keyboards and mice, if present, are cleaned, sanitized and tested.
18. Depending on our client's needs:
      - Additional and/or brand new memory, storage and peripherals are added
      - An operating system is installed and updated
19. The entire system is stress-tested as a unit for a minimum of 24 hours.

All hardware refurbished by Annexus includes a 90-day parts/labor warranty.  Extended warranties are also available on most systems.
