The Senior Revenue Accountant has key responsibilities within the Finance and Accounting Department and will report directly to both the Controller and CFO. You will have the opportunity to spearhead projects in addition to your day-to-day accounting duties. Over time, this individual will take on responsibilities for building out the Company’s FP&A function, so ambitious candidates are encouraged to apply.
The position is part of a close-knit, collaborative team in a top-end North Scottsdale office. Note, at the outset, working remote is viable however, applicants for this position must be willing to work on-site for a minimum 3 days a week once the Company’s WFH COVID policy is lifted.
Primary responsibility for the reporting accuracy of company’s principle revenue streams
Read and interpret customer contracts for purposes of determining revenue recognition criteria
Provide reporting on weekly cash receipts
Assist in quarterly forecasting process by interfacing with company sales leads and CFO
Perform monthly close tasks, including preparation of various journal entries and reconciliations
Assist in implementing process improvements and automating manual processes
Ability to recognize problems, gather data, draw valid conclusions
Stay current with software and software reporting system updates
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum 5+ years relevant experience with the above-mentioned roles and responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
Knowledge of ASC 606 and related revenue recognition principles
Experience working with Sage Intaact, Salesforce or other ERP systems a plus
High degree of professionalism and integrity
